Has anyone been to one of these. Just wondering what the crowd/atmosphere is like. I'm guessing it's a cash bar. What are the drink prices like? Also, what do you get in the $8 box lunch? LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation
One of the most boring things you can possibly imagine attending, but go once just to satisfy your curiosity. Food portions are really small. Mostly a bunch of old folk sitting in PMAC stands eating box lunches and watching the band, cheerleaders, etc perform some really gimmicky routines. Before the band arrives, there is a game on the scoreboard screens. The quality is so poor though that you'd swear the screens are older than the people sitting around you.
We was up in Seattle last year for the game, made the tailgate party, we had our own party. I rented a Bus and took in around 50 Tiger Fans.......
That's kind of what I figured. Thanks I went to Seattle too. We have a crew of about 40 that chartered a sail boat for the day. One of the best road trips I've ever been on.
It certainly is an older crowd but it's not as bad as Grad is making out. Not something I would do every game but I try to make it at least once per season.
There is free beer on tap usually, that's a plus. But hell, you can get that by stumbling around all the regular tailgates.. lol
Early in the season it's not a bad thing to go check out though. Especially if you have young ones and want to get them out of the heat for a few. Also the band will perform sometimes too.
