    on why he retired from the Marines to lead TAF:

    “Once you make two stars (Major General), all the other promotions are appointed. You don’t compete anymore.”

    This job came open and I said, ‘I’ll take it.’”

    He set forth accomplishing his mission to improve LSU’s athletic facilities with the skills he learned in his three-plus decades of military experience.

Thank God I work at a place like Tiger Athletic Foundation where we have a great ethos also. I’m enjoying what I do because I love LSU and we’re supporting LSU athletics.”
