exactly. it is a tragic moment in life when you realize that adults are not actually credible. i still know some adults that are afraid of pot, because of the brainwashing they got when they were kids. i think that speaks to how powerfully influenced children can be, how permanently they can be imprinted with nonsense.
I tried skiing many years ago. At first, I just stayed on the bunny hills. But that wasn't enough. Pretty soon, I was going down intermediate runs, then on to black diamonds. One day, I tried a slope too steep, too icy - and I broke my leg. Skiing should be illegal.
one of the student association groups i was in when at lsu had to do "something" for drug awareness week, just as every other student association/group on campus had to do. the association i belonged to showed "reefer madness". by the time we picked ourselves up off the floor from laughing, we did try to have a serious discussion about drugs and alcohol. but we could not wrap out head around that when that movie came out, it was all in dead seriousness, even as (how shall i put this....) "far fetched" as it is. of course, the group was the ceramic art student association, so it was nothing but a lot of art majors. the laughing lasted a lot longer than the serious discussion. :hihi:
