Its real easy to hate someone when you have had bad experiences with them. Getting pulled out of cars and slammed on the ground with a knee in the neck. There are good cops, but alot of them are also the kids that got picked on in high school, or the bullies that just couldn't get enough. The point is not if people deserve that treatment because drugs are illegal, the point is why is the **** illegal in the first place. You have a bunch of yahoos who approve fatty foods from McDonalds that will kill you eventually, yet weed is illegal?

    Money, Money, Money, Money........................Money!!!

Its real simple, elected officials get campaign contributions from companies who need these drugs to be illegal, not because they are dangerous, not because they are bad for you, or addictive, because they pose a threat to their pocket books.

What would the makers of Oxycontin and Vicodin do if there was a natural painkiller out there that a person could grow themselves in their own house? You know how much money they would lose? What about the Tobacco industry? The Alcohol Industry? How much money would those giants lose if some drugs were legalized?

Look at all of the violence on the border, the mass murders by cartels, cartels that were formed because Americans have unquenchable thirsts for illegal drugs. This is what Rex was eluding to when he spoke of prohibition. All the **** is drug related, if they weren't illegal that crap wouldn't happen.

If you don't want to have anything to do with drugs, then don't. If you don't want your kids to have anything to do with drugs, then teach them what is right and what is wrong. Because it being illegal isn't doing anything but making it more attractive to kids.

And not only have dopers stolen from me, but one toker slammed into my shyt at a stop sign because she was too fried to realize how to drive. Point is the money aspect makes more sense than the bogus reaching racist statement.

the racist stuff is valid, but it's not nearly as glaring as it used to be. Most of these drugs were made illegal for racist reasons in the first place.

Let me know when you win that election vote based on legalizing every drug known to man, calling the police kids that got bullied, and how the everyone in jail that is a minority is there because the white police officer can't stand them.

I told you to let me know when election on your platform. You informed me that politicians don't tell the truth, which I took this to mean that you would not be elected from anywhere because you do tell the truth. I would just like to know what truths you are telling now, if I have understood you properly.

ok, i think i understand what you are saying, i would never run for anything not because i don't think i would get elected but politics are dirty as hell, and i would have to lie, cheat, steal, make friends with the wrong people, throw my beliefs and principles out the window, and act like someone i am not. If you don't think i am telling the truth about the drug war, or the reason drugs are illegal, then that is your opinion, but i think i have backed up my statements with proof. If i haven't then i apologize.

I don't know what state you live in, but in Louisiana, most penalties are across the board for the drugs in a certain category (schedules). Crack cocaine, which is a stereotypical black drug, carries as much weight as crystal meth, the stereotypical trailer trash drug. Marijuana, for reasons that don't fully understand, are deemed to have "Less medical value" than either of those two mentioned above, and it is used by black and whites.

Race may play a part in some officer's discretion, but mostly, cops deal with the lower class in any area, be it white, black, hispanic, asian, and so on. Case in point, I am a police officer and I work in a 99% black area. While certain activities are not suspicious at certain times of the day, they become much more so at other times.

With regard to the original question of why the drug war isn't stopped and so many innocent lives are lost, politicians can't figure out how to tax it. Even still, some heavy drugs would probably never be legal because of the public outcry due to the effects that they cause. I'm fine either way; it's less work if it becomes legal to a point, and it's more arrest if it remains illegal.

There always will be an inherent prejudice in the system, but it is now defined more along class lines than anything else. A rich black man stands a better chance of getting off than a poor black man, and the same is true for whites. This is really just a reflection of ourselves, we as people have to see ourselves better than others because of a genuine need for self esteem. How we define those qualifiers that make us better change over time, but the need is still there.
