Alright, OSU is underrated, get no respect, are playing with great vegenance and fury and will strike us down the moment we enter the Superdome. They are playing with so much emotion that women and children everywhere are advised to not watch this game. Can you see where i'm getting, at first tOSU gets no respect and isn't going to win. But as the days pass bye and games are played the media pounds the "motivation factor" for tOSU to the ground. It has been in the media so much that now to me it seems as though WE don't have a chance in hell to win this game. In my eyes we are not getting nearly as much motivational consideration from the media as tOSU. And that is fine by me. :tigereye: :geauxtige :milesmic: :LSU231: :crystal:
Beanie Wells will run for 4000 yards and Boeckman will toss for 1000 on LSU's "swiss-cheese" defense. I probably won't even watch the blood-bath. :rolleye33:
What I love about our :milesmic:coach is he is so focused on the team he is playing and developing the game plan to dominate your opponent. He also gives his players every opportunity to win the game. We were one bad call in last years Auburn game from facing Florida in the SEC Championship game last year. The only talk you heard of this from our players and coaches was to prepare our team so that it does not come down to one call that decides the game. :milesmic: has our team focused on the game and what our players need to do to win the game. It's gonna be a great game. If LSU player wins his individual battle on the field then we win the game. :geauxtige:crystal::geauxtige
The spin suggests that Ohio State can control/determine the outcome of the game by 'deciding' to win the game. Similar to the tone the media used to pump up the NY Giants before they played the Patriots. I think it worked until the Patriots got down to some serious business in the second half.
Ha, nice analysis, I'd take that. I really just replied to this one cause I love your avatar. As sad as I am to say it, I love my raiders (hopefully Russell can brighten their future, or maybe Davis will die)
Part of what we are all having to deal with is the length of time from the end of the regular season to the NC game. You can only report stats and human interest stories for so long before they get old. The repeated stories about "OSU is more motivated" and "OSU has learned their lesson from last year" are just filling up print space and air time until the game. I think even the reporters get a little tired of it. Like a previous poster stated, if LSU plays their A game, we win. Geaux Tigers. ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule:
:milesmic: and the :helmet: aren't buying the media spin & hype & I'm not either. The outcome will be decided on the playing field, not by what a bunch of writers think and I use the term think very loosely in most cases.
I'm not really a Raiders fan, I do however like to support former Tigers. I hope JR can turn things around, although he is going to need a good supporting cast to do so (both players and coaches).
And like I said, THAT probably wont happen until Davis dies. He's like a Steinbrenner who doesnt know shait about his sport.
