Linebacker Bradie James told ESPN that his status as one of the team’s captains has caused him to play a peacemaker role at times between Owens and Romo. I'm trying to picture this: TO blowing up on Romo and trying to kill him while Bradie James has to pull him off
I am biased. Big-time. I will not hide that. But seriously, how is T.O. solely in the wrong? Dude is a big-mouth. No denying that. But if the anonymous player was looking out for the best interest of the team, then talk to the player (TO) about his beef. Don't go to the media. What does that do? Hold a team meeting and talk about it. Going to the press is the WORST thing you could do, because now everyone knows about it. In this case, Bradie James gets it... no one else in the situation does.
To be honest, I haven't paid a lot of attention to the most recent episode. My comments were directed at the entire "body of work."
bradie james is the captain. he's smart. TO is not. TO is solely in the wrong because hes worried about himself only. hes an egomaniac. no private discussion is going to do him any good nor change a thing. certainly puppet wade phillips isnt going to be able to do a damned thing. so, its the only way a person on the team w/o a say (non-star player) can voice their displeasure about the cancer that owens was, is and always will be. TO sacrificing the team is not news. it was just a matter of when.
So I guess this expedites the replacing of Phillips as the head coach in the offseason, since he obviously has little or no control of this team.
do they have a history of throwing their quarterback under the bus while destroying their teams internally with this constant crap. This is much the same stuff we saw contribute to LSU's team sucking this year. we had a few to's on our sideline as well. TO has a long and storied history and this is simply a repeat of it. its quite obvious what his issue with romo was about. Who knows what williams and crayton actually think. they may have been defending their fellow wr. and williams hasnt been there long enough to know the playbook much less determine who should be getting more catches. crayton is getting less balls because hes on the bench. he can blame roy williams for taking his spot.
agree to disagree. but Crayton is in the slot now, which is where he's done the most productive work in his career.
Ed Werder got a lot more specific tonight on Sportscenter. 1. Owens has expressed resentment and jealousy towards Romo regarding his close relationship with Witten. 2. Owens believes that Romo and Witten make up special plays that they won't let Owens in on. Okaaaaaay..... 3. Owens believes that the close relationship favors Witten in the passing game and that is why he has more catches. Wow, great team player. 4. Romo is done with the mind games. Romo just chooses to ignores all the T.O. bullshyt. 5. The team appears to be just dealing with T.O. because they know they need him so they don't want to tick him off. Dallas' season is officially over thanks to T.O. At least Cowboy fans don't have to endure another one and out in the playoffs.
