ESPN on their 5 PM (CST) Dallas Cowboys Sportscenter telecast announced that their is a rift developing between T.O. and Romo. Mark Schlereth said T.O. should either QUIT football altogether or shut the hell up. "That's my quarterback. That's not fair." (insert sobs) Hatcher, take it away.
Just read the ESPN story about this. IF T.O. said what is in the story, then it's 100% true. 1,000,000% true. I emphasize the IF: 1. they link an anonymous source 2. they have no direct quotations from T.O. or the source. This is the same as if I said right now: "Sources tell me that LSU coach Les Miles is about to fire Gary Crowton because he thinks he's a jackass." But IF it is true, he kinda/sorta did the right thing this time, didn't he? He didn't speak up about it in the media. He tried to handle it internally, apparently. It's not his fault that someone leaked it? I know I am biased toward the Cowboys, but it's kinda naive to think that other situations like this don't happen in every other lockerroom. It just so happened this one apparently leaked out? But what the rumor says is absolutely true. When Romo has his back against the wall, he throws it to Witten, whether he's open, covered, triple teamed, with no regard for if anyone else is open or not. And it gets old after a while, especially when your season ends on a forced pass to him in the endzone against the Giants, or when you lose to the Steelers because he throws a pick six to him when he was covered, or when he throws it to him on a fourth-down play when he's not even looking.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_y...ECD2bYF?slug=txcowboysowens&prov=st&type=lgns I love how Crayton and Roy Williams expressed similar complaints about Romo, but they magically get left out of the story.
If Jones has any sense, he'll get rid of that troublemaker Romo and keep T.O. You're not gonna win any playoffs without T.O. Oh wait, you haven't won any with him, either.
Wait till the season ends to say that. FYI, Romo fumbled snaps, threw picks and got clobbered in the last 2 postseasons. T.O. didn't.
Not so, my friend. I remember vividly watching all three Superbowls. Both Buffalo's and Pittsburgh. Even so, I am quoting the wrong person, b/c I don't think you're a Saints fan, but the next Superbowl game the Saints win will be the first . . . since . . . ?
Romo is an overrated QB who uses Whitten like a baby uses a thumb sucker. Its his blanky. TO is an assbag but still a good receiver who doesnt get enough balls thrown his way. 50 receptions at this time of the year is WAY below where he should be and he has the best TD per catch ratio in the league. Granted Romo was out a few games but TO should have way more catches.
