Man, I sure hope Miles himself doesn't get pulled over for a brake tag or something coming off one of those TAF appearances...especially in St. Tammany parish All it takes is two glasses of wine with dinner. I, personally, saw a Covington Judge convict someone who blew under the legal limit. Could happen to anybody over here...(unless you're the mayor of Mandeville or something)...so much for sanctimony.
I'm saying that anyone who goes out for dinner and has a couple of glasses of wine can get charged and convicted of DUI...especially in St Tammany parish. And I bet the LSU coaching staff does that pretty often. I've been to a TAF event in Covington before and saw nearly everyone take a couple of drinks and then drive home including some coaches. I'm glad that Miles acted swiftly and decisively in the T-Bob Hebert case. I think he made the right decision and the team will benefit from his actions. However, I'm saying that Judges can go way overboard...especially when they're beholden to organizations like MADD and depend on their campaign contributions for election and re election. I know one judge (retired) that was bought and paid for by MADD and delivered a 100% conviction rate in DUI cases. I know personally and second hand that the police in his jurisdiction could and did falsify police reports with no repercussion. It happened to me and I saw it happen to others. You were immediately judged guily and could not prove your innocence in a few cases. In a system like that, Sanctimony goes out the window when ANYONE -even a judge-who behaves normally at a restaurant or TAF function can themselves get a DUI even if they blow under the legal limit...even if the test is not administered properly...even if there is direct evidence of falsification of the police report.
I was listening to WWL 870 Sports Talk yesterday and it came on about T-Bob DUI. The only thing that Bobby Hebert said was that T-Bob has to learn by his mistakes. But he said that he will not comment anymore about what happen. This is how Deke Bellavia put it with out trying to put words in his mouth. He said if T-Bob does what Coach Miles told him to do he will be ready to go for the Fall Work Outs. For those who don't know Deke Bellavia is Bobby Hebert's side kick on WWL 870 Sports Talk. !twocrystals!
My wife usually has only one drink when we go to dinner. She drives whenever we go out so I don't have to worry about being sober but getting a DUI. I'd rather be safe than sorry in that instance anyway. Didn't always have the wisdom to do that but I do now :thumb:
The cop must be a ULL or Tulame fan. He should have called someone to come get him. Why make news like this?
I think it was Chase4LSU... 'cause I heard that T-Bob got handled by the policeman. Sounds like T-Bob ran into Chase "the walking uppercut". :hihi:.
