    Ouch! Get well soon, Tbob.

I'm not even sure if there is another center besides Lonergan.

He's out 6-8 weeks. We/he will be fine.

:geaux: Supposedly a broken bone in the lower leg that will require surgery. Should be back for fall practice. :LSU231:

a broken bone is typically better than a ligament. should heal fully, and actually allow other ongoing soft tissue injuries that all lineman battle daily to heal fully, too. fast forward 3-4 months, and he should come back physically stronger when he is a full go.

Absolutely. It's almost always better to break a leg than to have a torn ligament. Breaks acutally heal, whereas ligaments never really do.

But the setback could mean that he doesn't get his starting job back. At competitive positions, it doesn't take much drop-off to lag the competition.

The same thing crossed my mind. There are some people who were hoping Lonergan would win the job because he is bigger and may be more stout against big DT's.

Yeah, but with all due respect to T-Bob and his family....I couldn't care less if he starts or not....as long as he is able to do his job and do it well and as long as our team doesn't suffer from the injury, then that's what I mean by we'll be alright.

He will be alright in the respect that he will play and will play well despite the injury b/c if he had to suffer the injury, now would be the time to do so.

That being said, I wish him a speedy recovery.:thumb:
