Man, it's not like we're defending Les here. You don't have to come in and fight for your side.

The pic isn't deceiving. There are two UT players ON THE FIELD with their helmets off. It doesn't matter if they're offense or defense or what. The clock is at zero, and Hebert's helmet hadn't even left his hand yet. So clearly, the play, and subsequently the GAME, was over when Hebert took his helmet off.

    Here's the rule...

    Unsportsmanlike Conduct
Removal of a player’s helmet before he is in the team area
(Exceptions: Team, media or injury timeouts; equipment
adjustment; through play; between periods; and during a
    measurement for a first down).

Applies to players on the field and not someone running in off the sideline.

And I'm not bashing Les here or fighting for a side. Why can't we at least be honest with the facts. I posted the rule above. Hebert was a player on the field. It's not a BFD....

Dude, the game was not over, there was a defensive penalty.

So if the game was not over, why are UT players on the field with no helmets on...that aren't even supposed to be in the game?? Come on! This is a ridiculous argument. I at least understand Dooley trying, but an LSU fan??

Okay Fish, I read your posts and you have some good insight and I'm not trying to defend UT or Dooley. I like to be honest with the facts and I disagree with the assessment here.

So, by everyone's assertion, if during a game we go into victory formation, kneel on the last play to run the clock out and during the last 5 seconds, players walk onto the field from the sidelines with their helmets off, the game is not over at that point...Should we be penalized?

Yes...because there's still TIME ON THE CLOCK!! But in this case, the clock had expired. The game was over. It was only after they announced the penalty that ANYONE knew the game was still on.

If the game was still going on, are players/coaches allowed to run on the field of play with or without helmets...from the sidelines?? No. They are not. So, like Nootch said, the picture proves if LSU is guilty, UT is more than guilty.

Ya' know, everyone complaining because Miles isn't taking responsibility, (which he did), Dooley needs to STFU and take responsibility. He and HIS staff were even more retarded than Miles and his staff. Not like they had 12 on the field. They had THIRTEEN!! Lined up and ready. Unreal.
