And I like to add black pepper. I dont dig mexican style corn though. not my thing. Does anyone grow unsweet corn? I remember we grew corn I just dont recall if theres an actual difference.
Doubtful they try to grow "unsweet". It just gets sweeter certain times of the year. Up here, local Pennsylvania, and especially Jersey corn gets really sweet in mid-late August.
Sure, sweet corn is intended to picked immature and soft and is eaten like a vegetable. Field corn is harvested dry and mature and is used as a grain.
If I had some right now, I'd roast it on a grill and cut the kernels off and make roasted corn cheese grits !!
Bingo. The best recipe for corn ever conceived is... 1. Place ears of corn in pot of water. 2. Boil until cooked. 3. Add butter.
Not true. Best recipe is: Cut silk off of end of ear. Place in 350F oven for 20 min Turn corn over Cook 25 min longer Take out Add butter and salt
I like eating it Mexican style...on the cob, dipped in Mayo, dusted with chili powder. There's a Spanish word for that type of corn, but I forgot it...an Aztec word.
