In the ESPNU Championship Series mock CFB playoff, #7 USC plays #2 LSU in the quarterfinals. Both jerkballs picked USC. Corso's rationale? Because Pete Carroll knows how to win big games. A nice little ESPN dig at Coach Miles, seeing as how he makes the network look like unprofessional tards on a daily basis. I guess winning SEC Championship games with a backup quarterback whose finger gets gashed open in the 3rd quarter doesn't count for anything. Herbie says USC wins because they're finally healthy, so they beat an LSU team that will finally be healthy. I'm sorry. How many injuries did the Trojans have when they lost at home to Stanford? If it was fewer than 22, I don't want to hear it. :tigereye:
USC has been playing great with a healthy QB. Not really hard to see why they picked them. Anyone else noticed media personalities hate everyone? Is that possible? Doesnt someone have to win?
Um, I don't blame them at all. I'd have to say USC is playing better than we are at the time. Don't have a problem with that pick.
ESPN using broadcast time, and the time of their marquee CFB analysts to debate a fan-voting, hypothetical football tournament is so dumb.
The answer to this as always is ESPN and most of the media hates LSU. They hate LSU so much that they vote us #2 over OU, USC and VaTech.
Are we forgetting Herbstreit trumpeting LSU as the team that should be voted #2 in the middle of OU thumping Mizzou? Let's keep things in perspective.
I feel your pain! The only team the media hates more is Nebraska! There is a silver lining though. Think of the joy when LSU and Coach Pelini whip OSU 38-0!!! :geaux: (for one game  )
Just wanted to point out 2 things: 1) I've never noticed any media hate on Nebbie. 2) I have NEVER heard such glowing reports of a road trip as I did after this year's game in Lincoln. You folks are amazingly brilliant in your treatment of other fans. Every single Trojan fan who went to that game spoke of having meals, drinks, being bought for them by total strangers. There was actually a lunch put together for the Husker Board and the WeAreSC board and it was heavily attended, greatly appreciated, and well enjoyed. Cheers Husker Ed.
