I dont think the Saints got outplayed by Tampa, the Saints got outplayed by the Saints. Tampa had nothing to do with the penleties. Had the Saints offense played they way we have seen them play I did not see anything from Tampa that allows me to believe they would have been able to stop them. Tampa looked very flat on Def which is strange for them. And there offense was doing a very good job they just ran across a Saints D that finally figured out how to play. (although those little short passes to Ike were killing us) To say they got outplayed is a strecth, I would go with They shot themselves in the foot ALOT of times, but the Def was good enough to keep them in the game!
I don't think so. Their D was pretty solid, especially considering what they showed in the pre-season. TB didn't move the ball any better than the Saints did. I'm curious, in what facet did they get 'outplayed?' Most of the game was a stalemate. And? What did TB do that was so much better during this time frame? As far as the bomb to Devrey, he already had Barber beat anyway. It would have been a footrace at that point. He may not have broken it, but he certainly would have gained additional yards. Further, TB's first TD was a bit of a fluke as well. So you can wash the 'got lucky' points. Of course not. The game was pretty even. But to say that the Saints were outplayed is off-base.
And we all know Dvery can make the catch withsome haning on him, its when he is wide ass open that he drops the ball!
