Maybe there was a Tebow sighting somewhere... 1 inning down. Florida gets a HR in the top of the 1st, Southern Miss answers with a HR of their own.

Wow! USM had the bases loaded with one out and Florida changed pitchers. After running the count to 3-0, the pitcher threw a ball that the ump somehow called a strike. Instead of scoring a run, the batter had a full count when he popped up to short RF. The runner at third tagged and tried to score but the catcher had the ball early and set up for a high tag. The USM player tried to knock the ball away but was called out and also ejected for the hit. I thought it was a weak call. The umpire also watched the Florida catcher jump right in the USM player's face and taunt him but nothing was said to him. The Florida crowd finally woke up. The attendance and noise from the crowd are pretty weak for a SEC team. I'm a SEC fan but find myself pulling for USM. I hope the Florida catcher gets nailed next time he bats.

That was a crappy finish to that inning :/ Southern Miss seems like a solid club, Florida hasn't guaranteed a game 3 by any means. I guess I'd like to see the SEC get another team in, but I'd be fired up for Southern Miss if they can do it. How's that for decisive?
