These are my rankings... 1) LSU 2) CS-Fullerton 3) Arizona State 4) North Carolina 5) Virginia 6) Texas 7) Arkansas 8) Southern Mississippi Texas is very fortunate to be there. They were the least impressive of these eight teams. The SEC and ACC each with two teams. The conference that received too much respect (Big 12) only has one team. The #1 National Seed is a joke. I hope USM knocks the Longhorns around the park. Texas said they bring more people to Omaha than any team...NOT! They can bring all their steers and queers, hookers and whores...and they'll still be outnumbered by purple and gold!
Well...not if you count all the LSU fans living in Texas (who go to Omaha) as Texans.. I think you're officially a Texan if you live in Texas or went to jail in Texas. Call up Trudie on the telephone and tell her that I'm stuck here in Dallas...
here's my arbitrary rankings: 1) Cal-St 2) UVA 3)LSU 4)Texas 5)ASU 6)UNC 7)Arkansas 8)Southern Miss really? texas swept their regional then won 10-4 and 5-2 losing one game by one run. far from a joke. 2nd highest RPI. as dominant as some past texas teams? of course not. but its like overlooking an LSU team with its history because they arent as good as past teams. teams with tradition are the most dangerous.
Texas won their regional over... #4 seed Army 3-1 #3 seed Boston College 3-2 (in 25 innings)(UT didn't score in 22 straight innings) #4 seed Army 14-10 (they trailed 10-6 in the 9th before Army's closers fell apart) Texas won their super regional by taking two of three... Texas 10-4 (win) TCU 3-2 (loss) Texas 5-2 (win) Granted...they won 5 of 6 but they also had what many considered the easiest regional and a fairly easy super regional. I just don't think they're as hot as most of the remaining teams. They have talent but I don't think they're better that LSU, CS-Fullerton, UNC, or ASU. They also lost to Baylor 14-9 and had to win a tie-breaker to make the Big 12 championship game.
yes I know hence my quote: why do so many people repeat the same things. not their fault and purely subjective. so if they swept the super would that have made them hot? how often do we get to watch any of these teams to really know? 1 or 2 games? more like a guess or a feeling based on records. LSU lost to USL and Nicholls.
