Total Defensive breakdown. Beaten by a better team. I don't want to hear anymore about: Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Bill Belicheck, Teddy Bruschi or Junior Seau. They are all the biggest Superbowl Flops in History. LSU!:LSU231:
I'm very happy that Junior Seau and Rodney Harrison were on the losing team because they're both big-time LOSERS!!! Typical NFL...one second left and they clear the field and make everyone return, so they can snap the ball. That was just stupid but that's the NFL. New England Patriots 18 & 1
I wouldn't call it a defensive collapse. There was a lot of luck involved on that last drive. You're not gonna get out of that sack like Eli did very often and the catch by Tyree was unreal with great coverage on the play. Then Eli almost throws a pick and gets a reprieve. I'm glad the Giants won it. Now we never have to hear about tape gate every again, cuz the perfect season is no more. No harm, no foul.
Yes we will. I gaurantee that tomorrow all the talk will be about whether or not the alleged taping of the Rams walk-through in '02 was a distraction. Most radio shows, I bet, will spend more than half their program discussing this. After that, hopefully it will go away.
No, I strongly disagree. All the talk will be how Eli fickin Manning has an Super Bowl MVP to his credit. And rightfully so.
And Belichick full of class until the end, doesn't even watch the last play. He ran off the field with 2 seconds left. And they wonder why people hate them. My only regret is that there wasn't a way for both teams to lose.
you're wrong. that's not how the media works. the Pats were 18-0. In the media's eyes, they lost the game, rather than vice versa. that's morally wrong imo, but there will be more air-time about why the Pats lost, rather than why the Giants won. Good example: on ESPN News's bottom line, it doesn't say "Giants win Superbowl 42", it says "Giants end Pats Perfect Season."
Claire's right. Our team tonight already had a discussion on how to bring about a Patriots spin tomorrow. Yuck.
I was stating we won't be hearing about tape gate tomorrow, or at least not much at all compared to if the Pats would have won. Thank goodness for that. You will be surprised as to how much positive coverage the Giants get in the next couple of days.
