If LSU plays their best and loses. Ill be saddened but I can accept that. If LSU keeps playing far under their potential with obvious miscues and poor execution then I wont be as content or accepting. The difference is a realist has expectations and wont accept mediocrity. While the sunshine pumpers are complacent and will accept underachieving. At least thats how I see it.

Well I have been placed in the "Sunshine Pumpers" camp by most posters, however I take issue with the "accept underachieving" I really concur if LSU competes and plays well and loses. Fine. I was the first to get beaten up after the UW game for a negative post (I think it was dantheuslfan). And believe me there was a mountain of curse words going on during the MSU game, a Sea if you will, much hat throwing and my daughter had to cover her ears. BUT (always a but) this stuff about Les Miles needing to move on and us losing every SEC game, etc to me is a little over dramatic. But entertaining to say the least. My favorite is Lee is a secret weapon post. That one I almost printed and framed. I guess for me is that I realize the other school has fans, and coaches and watches film etc. They want to win just as bad as our team does,and frankly i f you look at our MNC years, I dont recall blow out after blow out in those years either. Fact is Oklahoma is widely known as a team that runs up the score, blows people out etc and look at their bowl record... Pffffftttttt. Sure I get all upset and bitter about LSU keeping it close but at the end of the day its a win, and I like wins and by Tuesday everyone is off to the next team and LSU is still 4-0. I like Les Miles, sure he is maybe not the genius or some guy that jumps up and down and bounces up and down like an idiot with his team, and yes I give him a pass because you know what. I cannot remember a coach in our recent history that LOVES being an LSU tiger as much as him. Or being a part of our Baton Rouge Community and to me that goes a long way. My friends here in Big 12 country always say to me "YOu know Les Miles is an idiot" etc My response "Yeh well he is our idiot, so grab a spoon and eat my ass" Geaux F'ing Tigers....
