Now that the dust has settled a bit, maybe some people would read this and not be so critical.
At what point do tiger fans realize that our players are very human and almost very equal to the nation around them?
The term scrubs and subs flew all over these forums last night. True ignorance. Those players played in a system that produced possibly 7 NFL draft picks for next year.

It is just to hard to imagine that the younger guys under them learned anything, right?
This same LACK of RESPECT carried over on the field and is likely the key in those 2 plays for UNC that BURNT LSU.
Outside of the 95+ and the 75+ pass play, LSU's D was stiff. Not to mention the drive where we gave them the ball over and over until they scored b/c of dumb pens.

Last year, I heard/read these complaints on O.
    No Oline Push
    No Deep Balls
    No Big Plays
No Running game ( no dumb Pens and LSU pushed close to 200 yrds rushing...)

We got all of this last night.
What's the kicker? A loaded gun pointed at the head of the LSU O. This just inst a "What IF" WE LEFT POINTS ON THE FIELD B/C OF PENALTIES!!!.. BAD ONES.
    DRIVE ENDING PENALTIES>>>>

Last year we only had 2 plays the entire year for over 50 yards, we had 2 last night.
The O'line was better, but inconsistent at times. Though a clear improvement over last year.

In all, LSU kept the game close and what I saw where all things that are FIXABLE. I am not telling you not to complain, b/c it is always ok to vent, but the moment most expect that LSU is a team of gods vs. short bus rejects is the moment LSU will never live up.

Give this team a few weeks and I am certain the D will not give up those kind of plays again. We had some young guys ( and old ) make really BAD plays. It happens.

There is no point to compare us to any other team that played sloppy. We saw good things and bad things.

I personally do not care whether Miles gets fired, I just want Tiger fans to shut up and cheer until the last breath, something I admired UNC fans for. Against all odds, they were valiant until the end....

I really enjoy this forum, and I enjoy game day chat, but it is so disgusting to read every play that is not 4 yards plus get a bad review. I was not sick or embarrassed of LSU, rather the things I read. To think that some people would have rather lost last night.

It is ok to bash the entire coaching staff, but we are no better if we can be embarrassed. At least they have true PRIDE!!!

Never hang your head and always have the faith.

LSU, through goods times and the bad!

This team is much improved and people know it. You had a great post up there, too, btw.

    "My name is Steve...and I am a sunshineholic. "

I actually read almost every post in the den yesterday and today...I'm also perversely masochistic.

The meltdown was OK. The first 24 hours are for venting, speaking from the heart, spewing vitriol, shooting from the hip, knee jerking and ranting. :po:

It's good to get it all out....therapeutic actually. On the way home from the Abita Brew Pub after the game, I calmly rolled down the window and let loose a primal scream...I may have woken up a few dogs and ran a possum up a tree, but it felt great.

But now it's a day later and I like to obey my own rules of posting here.
    - Never, ever get your feelings hurt by something someone else said.
    - Be forgiving of other posters.
    - Never attack someone else personally
    - Don't regret ranting in the first 24 hours.
    - Begin looking at the big picture here.
    - Put things into proper context (SEC context).

    - above all, NEVER hold grudges.

I ALWAYS follow this code of personal conduct...

...oh, and by the way....You all suck !!! :)wink:)

One guy in the game thread said after the first half that we should enjoy JJ while we can because he'll be in the NFL next year.

He should post in this thread.
