Which is what will keep this team competitive. Regardless of QB play.

Absolutely!! Can't understand when other teams abuse FCS (Div 1A) teams all say they are "all that" and it shows how great they are. Fla is still 10th even with their poor showings.
Look at the play of the DL, LBs and improvement of they DBs. They push and fly around. Will they make mistakes? yep but they will do a better job than last year and I think will be a memorable defense if they get any help from the O. 3 and out is a defense killer in the 4th qtr.

I think we might have the best D-line rotation in the entire nation.

Actually, I am convinced we do.

Not this again, there is no way you will get some to believe that we are strong enough on D to win a championship. That would mean that our coachings staff, yes our coaching staff, coached these players up to the level of talent that wins championships.

That just can't be, there is no way, this is the very same coaching staff that many claim has no ability at coaching players up. What you're claiming would indicate otherwise and some might have to come out and conceed that they might just be wrong to some degree.

I mean, if our coaching staff can coach up players on the D side of the ball it would stand to reason that they could do the same on the O side of the ball. That is unless for some unknown reason they just don't want to or are only good enough to coach up 1 part of the team, but that just wouldn't make any sense.

The difference in whether or not a coach can improve a team's and/or a player's performance is the coach's capability not his "want to".
It is obvious that much of the D's improvement is due to Chavis & his coaches. LBs. I may sound like a broken record but look at Shep, Riley & Cutera in '08 and last year. Their performance was much better in 08. In fact Shep is a Butkus contender and Riley & Cutera made NFL rosters. We will see about the DBs but they did seem to be in better position against Vandy.
Look at the receivers & TEs on the O. I see much improvement this year. Enmsinger & Gonzales. It may end up the same with Wilson & the RB's. The two problems have been O line and QB. Even O line appears improved and maybe Coach Stud heard the threat "improve or move". It is the QBs & offense planning that is lagging. I blame Crowton the most but CLM shares blame. I have no doubt Crowton wants to be a good coach but there is something lacking. The O coaches do want to coach the players up and are beginning to (except Crowton). Watch and see if the team gets better over the course of the season. It was sadly lacking (except LBs) last year. I hope we continue to see improvement and maybe Gonzales & Ensminger can help with QBs.
Talent gets 8 wins coaching & talent gets 10-12+ wins.
