We were 10-15 on 3rd down conversions yesterday, currently No. 1 in the SEC and No. 4 Nationally in that category. We have seen some huge changes in just 5 games. We also have a stable of stud QBs waiting in the wings, and a big time player in Brandon Harris coming in the fall.
On top of that we have a few of the best WRs coming in as well as a coiple of great RBs. This offense will be stacked. On the D side, we have the best LB looking hard at us, and the stud DB in Toliver coming in. LSU will be fine.

I'm completely sold on him. All coaches have weaknesses because they are human. But Miles does an excellent job at LSU.

Remember that movie the money pit? That's how I'm starting to feel about LSU. You dump a bunch of money and resources into something that's broke and when you get it fixed, something else breaks.

LSU's offense is a well oiled machine. The defense, is a busted up clunker with parts that cannot be salvaged and need to be replaced. DJ Welter should never see a significant defensive snap again. Right now the only players who deserve their starting positions are Ego, and Kwon who isn't even a starter. Pretty much the entire D could be replaced.

Dont get me wrong, I cant argue his success and where he has LSU. I know he is a good man who loves LSU. I just have trouble with his poor clock management, there is no excuse for that or the TOs. I hate Saban but seeing the consistent success he has had over LSU recently doesnt help the matter either. Overall I know Miles has had more success than any other coach other than Saban. Its just difficult to look past his seemingly clueless, deer in headlights mistakes.

Only if you have an agenda or just really want to dislike him. Every freaking coach in history has had time management problems several times in their career as well as many other mistakes including Saban.

Anyone who keeps harping on these issues over and over again just doesn't bother to really look at the facts, success and records.

Like I said, I admit its a catch 22. I admit Ive never been fully sold on him for some reason despite his success. I know every coach is human and will make mistakes. It just seems that Miles has made more big mistakes lately than game winning decisions. There is no excuse for the constant miscues at the end of halves or games. Not for a man who makes as much as he does.

    ha

I hear what you say, next year is a long time away. I heard the story where a QB forgot a play and Cam made him move over and let the next QB run the play. You better know the play book with Cam

Yes! Watching the end last night was dejá vu all over again of the last set of downs by the Gumps! We work so hard, then almost sleepwalk as a top QB shreds our secondary, accepting with great enthusiasm all that turf that we don't require them to actually earn. Frustrating!
