Maybe discussed already, but that Trophy is for the best player in College Football. Ingram I think gets a nod but he is surrounded by talent. McCoy, gamer sure but the best in college football?
Suh on the other hand isn't surrounded by talent, and I have watched him a few times this year. That guy is one of the best pure football players I have ever seen. He is everywhere on the field, sacks, pass deflections and seems he is in on every tackle.
I know the "beauty" position always wins. But its true Bama doesnt skip a beat without Ingram in the game.
Nebraska without Suh would be like a Nevada defense.

Guy is a freak. He will be the #1 pick in the draft and will be a pro bowler.

Be a man voters. Dont vote on beauty, vote on the beast.....

Suh made a good case in the Big 12 championship. If Suh doesn't get it, I would completely understand not giving the trophy to anyone. When was the last time that the "leaders" don't really deserve to be included in such elite company? Mark Ingram... really? He's not even the best RB on his team!!

The march to total irrelevancy continues with the heisman with the list of finalists. We're supposed to believe Tebow and Mccoy were even the best quarterbacks this year. I hate to say it but Jimmy Clausen was much better than either one of them. Not to mention the guy from Houston who threw for over 5400 yards and led the FBS (runner up had less than 4000 yards). He led the country in completions, yards, TD's, 2nd in completion percentage and 5th in rating. Tebow and mccoy were behind him in every category.

Gerhart and Suh definitely belong in New York. They are both studs but I doubt either of them will win it. Ingram will more than likely win and he did have a great year but not as great as Gerhart and Suh.

popularity contest, has nothing to do with who the best football player is. its the equivalent of the people's choice award. Plus the winner is almost guaranteed a loss in the bowl game, and crappy professional career.

No way Suh should win it since he cost Nebraska the title game. If he hadn't rushed McCoy on the "last" play, Colt would have run around and waited longer to throw the pass and waste the entire clock. Damn you Suh!
