If LSU were to make it to the Sugar Bowl and win the game, though, I think the opposite would hold true. :)

Who outside of the SEC would likely make it to the Sugar Bowl at this point?

I know at least one Sugar Bowl Committee member that is an LSU season ticket holder. He has never expressed those concerns.

With Boise State losing, they won't get a BCS bowl game now.

So now that opens up 3 at large spots (TCU is in already).

Let's say Auburn and Oregon win next week.

    BCS CG: Oregon vs Auburn
    Rose: TCU??? vs Wisconsin
Fiesta: Big 12 Champ vs Stanford???
    Sugar: Ohio State vs Arkansas/LSU???
Orange: ACC Champ vs Big East Champ

I gotta believe the Fiesta takes Stanford now (was going to be Boise State), if the Rose taking TCU holds true. Otherwise, simply flip TCU and Stanford in the above bowl matchups.

The Sugar gets to replace it's SEC Champ and it's opponent before the Orange and Fiesta choose their opponents for the ACC Champ and Big 12 Champ, respectively.

Look for an SEC team to be selected to go to the Sugar (either Arkansas or LSU). Then Ohio State as the opponent. Michigan State, even with only 1 loss, will be left out in the cold most likely. The 2nd best Big 12 team will have at least 2 losses, so forget about them being taken as well.

So who does the Sugar like better, LSU or Arkansas? It's their choice, head to head doesn't matter, who is higher ranked in the BCS doesn't matter, the bottom line does matter. So who will it be?

Good breakdown, DOTB, if SC were to win (which I don't see happening).....here's what I see when SC loses the SECCG

    SC to Cap One
    AU to NCG
    Arky to Sugar
    LSU to Cotton

    FIXED!!

The Sugar Bowl President said after the game that if Auburn wins next weekend that Arkansas will get the invite...

    Please no Capital One Bowl...

Looks like we would be matching up against Pelini in the Cotton. May be in the next month we can prep for another mobile QB, spread attack, and be successful.
