Congrats, an to think, many of the OL return. We return Hurst, P.J., Faulk, Williford as starters. Lots of back-ups.
Pretty cool to be the OC and win the OL coaching award lol, what a difference a year makes, many including myself were ready for him to join Porter.
:geaux: And Dworaczyk will be back as well. Believe he got a Medical Redshirt/Hardship from the NCAA and will have a sixth year of eligibility. And congrats to Coach Stud! :thumb: :LSU231:
Wow! Grats to Stud! Can't believe so many folks around here were ready to help him pack when the ohio st rumors surfaced.
Hilarious, ain't it. In a sad sorta way... It'll be interesting to see who posts up in this thread... The LSU OL was very good last season, too. The only year Stud didn't field a very good OL was '09...when he had an injured Ciron Black who pretty much had no knees left, and a bunch of inexperienced guys. People wanted him out on the next bus leaving.
The great thing is the returning players for next year. P.J(11), Collins(7), Faulk(13), Williford(11), Hurst(13), Branch(7), Domingue(5) and Davenport(10) have all played this year. Josh D. for another year, remember he was one of the better OL but lost for the year, just think if he had played. The Red-Shirting of Austin, Porter, Turner and White. Evan Washington is also in the mix. *(Games played in) Looking back in the Phil Steeles pre-season guide, this line was ranked 22 in the nation. RB's 33, DL 10, DB's 4 and Special Teams, unranked out of 36 teams. So there were at least 36 teams better on ST than LSU? Yep the shockers 33rd. best RB's in the nation and over 36 teams better in Special Teams. Oh, bamas ST's was in the top 20. I guess FG kickers go into this rating?:hihi: I will say this, on the other side of the ball, late in the UGA game.....seeing Ego, Freak and Rasco line up on the DL........thats gonna be a scary bunch in the years to come. When you can bring those guys in late in the game........man, lookout.
