I know Tommy John surgery isn't as big a deal as it was in the past but could definitely impact his career and if he has the surgery, we won't see him pitch until 2012. I saw that. Some have been critical of his pitching motion the way that he brings both elbows up causing his shoulder blades to come together. Don't know if thats what caused the need for surgery. Sucks for the Nats though.
Kid will be fine. Lots of people come back from TJS stronger than before. This is what happens when people allow their kids to throw breaking balls when little Stephen is only 15. It is crap and LL/HS coaches that allow/ask them to do it should be taken behind the woodshed.
