Was thinking the same. All they have to look forward to now is praise from the other team. It really is lonely at the top. They're so neglected. Poor pathetic gumps.
I thought the game for the most part was penalty free or at least the players were allowed to play. The game moved along pretty quickly without the stoppage of play. Those are fun games to watch because both teams are playing at their best for the most part. I thought the offsetting penalties were bullshit and should have not occurred. It killed a drive and we really don't know if points would have come out of it. We had opportunities and we screwed the pooch on all of them. I saw this as a typical LSU/Bama game and I hated to see us lose again. As far as the refs they only effect the outcome when the teams are even and right know our offense is not on par with Bama's defense. I've read someone ask, how did Ole Miss put up so many on them, well because they have a hell of an O line, QB, and receivers. We decimated them which says a lot for our defense. Defensively we can play with anybody, but years of recruiting the wrong personnel and putting them in the wrong scheme has taken a toll on our offense. I just read an article how our o line is playing out of position for their size and skill set. For example Pocic playing center is ridiculous because he gets out leveraged by interior d lineman due to his height and footwork. The fastest route to the QB is straight up the gut, which is why ours got killed Saturday night. Just one example of how our ex O line head coach screwed up the most important unit on the field.
Makes sense. I always thought it was odd that as tall as Pocic is, he wasn't playing tackle or at least a guard. True enough. It also speaks volumes about our current Oline coach as well.
Pocic won't be a center in the NFL but for some reason we play him at center. It's stupid, he is natural tackle.
@fanatic the article broke down each O lineman and how they would me more effective at their natural position and physical attributes. It's amazing these guys were signed to play one position and without rhyme or reason was put in a foreign position that would ensure failure. It was fairly long so I didn't post the whole thing but it even mentioned that if you wanted to put a player in the most difficult position you could not have done a better job. I loved Les, but he made some strange decisions that are starting to come out now. I understand injuries which forces a shuffle but reading this article was making me scratch my head.
