The Alabama defense was just smothering every possible hope that could sustain a team in that second half. . Leonard had a 2 yard run for a first down late in the 2nd quarter. Then what happened? Absolutely nothing. The LSU Tigers had one first down for the rest of the game. The Tigers final 7 possessions consisted of 4 three-and-outs, 2 four-and-outs, one interception and just one first down. LSU had 25 total yards. Alabama kept the ball for 13:35 of the 4th quarter. Total domination.
If the refs 'impacted' the game, the easy argument would be that Bama could easily have had more than 10 points.
Easy for an Alabama fan. You guys have been oblivious to officiating for a very long time. I could sit here and say that LSU should have had 9 points. One on a fumble that was blown dead and one on an intentional grounding, then remove the 7 from the holding call on the Hurts TD. But I'm not going to sit here and say LSU was the better team, they weren't and it was obvious and I'm not going to say that officiating cost us the game because it didn't, but there were shit calls that went in Bama's favor and shit non calls that went in Bama's favor and for you to say otherwise is really disappointing, but I should have expected it.
Except you have never heard me say it. You are doing such a good job showing all the ref's flaws against LSU that I thought I would spend some time explaining some of the calls they missed against Bama. I don't know that anyone has said they didn't happen on either side. We had twice as many calls on us as you. Twice.
The difference being that none of them took points off the board for Bama or nor had the same impact as they did against us. If this was the only game between these 2 teams that this has happened, then yeah maybe it's sour grapes. But I could give you a laundry list of shit call/no calls that have gone against us at critical junctures in this game over the years. It just gets old seeing it happen year after year. Your team is too good to get that kind of help.
