Chavis is evidence enough to me. This is his first year and I think our defense improved alot from last year. Give this guy another spring and summer and our defense will be rocking next year. Miles is no fool.

I am also one of the biggest miles supporters and of course i am not happy with what went on with the OM game. From what I see he has lost some of his fire that we all know of in these last 2 years and hopefully this is a wake up call for him but the man did admit his mistake and said he would fix it so lets let that work out before we through this guy to the wolves.:geaux:

I am impressed with the Linebacker and Secondary play, not particularly in the Ole Miss game, but the glaring problem in the Defense is the line. I can't remember having a worse defensive line than the one we have now.

You have to be more impressed than you were last year with our defense. That was the question right? why I thought Miles would make the necessary changes. Thats a prime example.

Linebackers seem to be solid along with the corners.
    Saftey play could be better.

I think our Defense is better than last year. I just really hate the soft coverage that our dbacks play. Are you really telling methat PP7 is so bad he has to spot a WR 10-15 years?

:geaux: Agree with you here. Our weak D-Line has put the pressure on the LB's and DB's to take up the slack and for the most part, they have. No consistent pressure on the QB and inconsistency in stopping the run have been the hallmark of the D-line this year. Our LB's and DB's have really stepped up when they've needed to.:thumb:

In my mind our defense is much improved over last year and I give Chavis kudo's for that and I'm glad we have him. Believe the D-Line will be much better next year with Downs, L. Edwards, Agayere, etc. starting and the redshirt off of Davenport and Montgomery. Also K. Sheppart is back along with R. Baker and Minter coming in. Peterson will be back. The "D" will continue to get better under Chavis. :LSU231:
