Saban didn't lie to LSU and he never once lied and blamed a player for a his own mistake - Miles did this. I don't know how any LSU player can ever respect Miles again. Miles needs to geaux.
Saban did lie. He told everyone he was not going to Miami, then went to Miami. How did Miles lie? He was gesturing to the refs that Toliver was down and was NOT gesturing to Spike the ball. He said he did not know where the 'clocking' call came from. Apparently it came from the coaches in the press box.
Miles has 1 tenth the coaching talent of Saban. Miles initially denies responsibility and is bumfuddled about the Ole Miss game, what happened and talks as if he is in a fog. No wonder OK State fans were happy to see him go. And if Miles didn't have such a big ego, he would have been caught in a lie about the Michigan job.
Give it up already. No one, and I mean NO ONE, is happy with how Saturday went, and it will, in fact, be talked about for years. But today is a new day; we have a game this weekend; Les Miles is our coach. Deal with it.
I know traffic is good for the web site but I think it's about time the administrators flushed the gump moles.
I don't know if Saban ever blamed a player before for a loss, but he has certainly blamed the fans: “There’s very little interest from our fans, our players or anybody else to play in the Sugar Bowl, which to me is a tremendous opportunity,” Saban said. “I tried to tell everyone, you’re only going to remember one thing about this game and that’s the outcome. So there’s no interest, there’s no passion and everybody is embarrassed because of how we played. Well, it’s because you didn’t have any passion for it, you didn’t have any interest in it, you didn’t have any enthusiasm to do it, and that’s across the board. And that’s not right. We go to a BCS bowl game, everybody ought to be positive and enthusiastic about what we’re doing.“ What's more ridiculous than blaming the fans when you're getting paid millions. At least the players actually play in the game. He tried to back out of what he said later... Miles was an idiot on Saturday and Saban isn't our coach anymore.
i just watched clm press conference from yesterday and it sounds to me like he felt this was his first time mismanagement. maybe that's true, considering he lost the game; however, it was far from his first time. the other times his talent pulled him through. my opinion hasn't changed, we need a change at HC and OC. I've long felt we've won a lot of games in spite of him, not because of him. our team deserves to play up to its potential. year in/year out we have top five recruiting classes but have won less than 50% of our conference games the last 2 years. No excuse for that. i hope he takes the michigan job to save louisiana the cost of a buyout or further embarrassment.
