    I read elsewhere that he flew out of state to see another doctor.

    I really doubt we see Derek play again for us. It's a shame because this injury likely cost him his top 5 spot and potentially ten million dollars. He wants to play badly, but at this point a a corner with a foot injury..

    Word is Derek underwent surgery and is officially done for the season. I’d imagine an announcement soon.

    That’s sad. Injuries have put a damper on what could have been a great career. Hope he fully heals and has a great pro career.

    It will be interesting to see his draft status at the end of the season. As injury prone as he is I can't see a team risking a pick to take him in the first round.

    He’s absolutely worth the risk of a 1st round pick. Especially for a team with great players everywhere else and in need of a CB

    I wonder what kind of evaluation was done back in the spring when he 1st was injured. Did they consult an expert on that type of injury or was the only diagnosis done by the team trainers & doctor?
