i dont think he underachieved in football last year, he made alot of tackles, forced and recovered a few fumbles.
Chad's superhuman interception vs UK in 2007 more than compensates for any other perceived 'underachieving' in his football career at LSU.
I think what you will see is if Chad is not productive on the football field this fall, he will dedicate his time entirely to baseball next season, to get himself prepared for a career. I hope he has the awesome dilemma of having to choose.
He can still keep pitching and play a field position or at least DH. I remember that a few college pitchers were great hitters for their team. The Tulane pitcher, his first name is Micah, was a good hitter. He is still pitching in the pros.
