Yep. We need to focus on those things that we have control over.

Yes....he was talking about us. Barely getting by a very good Florida team, an average 8-4 Auburn team, losing to an average 7-5 Kentucky team, and barely getting by a 6-6 Alabama team that lost to Louisiana Monroe a couple weeks later. Then there was the Ole Miss game which we didn't pull away from until late. That four week stretch has hurt us in more ways than one....other than the loss to Kentucky. Injuries as a result of those battles, sqeaking by teams that were ranked at the time but turned out to be average SEC teams, etc. Coaches around the country are looking at the polls and when they don't see these SEC oponents in the top 25 now...it hurts. Look at South Carolina. We thought we had a big win when they were sitting at #7 in the BCS with a 6-1 record. Fast forward five weeks and we beat a 6-6 Gamecock team that may not even be going to a bowl!

Granted...all of us know that these "average" SEC teams will likely take it to their bowl opponents...with the exception of Alabama that is. Those boys have completely laid down on Saban. I was praying Kentucky would beat Tennessee because it would have made our loss to them look better (if there is such a thing) because they would be ranked and it would give us a shot at #4 Georgia in the SECCG. I don't know about you guys, but I would rather be playing UGA in the SECCG. Yeah they are better than Tennessee (UT's thumping of UGA in the regular season was a COMPLETE anomaly) but we are the best in the west and I would like to face the best in the east. IMO...UF and UGA are far better than UT.

We'll see how the cards fall. If by some miracle we end up playing in the NC then we KNOW it was meant to be. Maybe it will for great guys like Glenn Dorsey who came back to play in such a game. However, he alone can't win games for us. Too bad he's not a nickel back so that he can spell Danny freakin McCray!!!!!! Please Les....keep Danny off the field in the SECCG against a good UT passing attack and dear lord keep him off the field should we face Hawii :angryfire in the Sugar Bowl.

    GEAUX TIGERS!!!
