Think Bama was crowding the line?[/QUOTE]

They sure were. Seemed as successful as we were running, there were still a number of times we didn't get anything.

True, but for every one time the run was stuffed for little or no gain, there were probably two passes thrown for that or WORSE...

You've got to play to your strengths...

Bamaalumn - Saban is the real deal on Defense and that team really brought it, but LSU still rolled up 382 yards...201 on the ground. I hardly think that Bama truly "limited" our running game since we ground out more than our season average. J-Lee's horrible passing easily lost this game for us. Lots of the throws he was missing on were to WIDE OPEN receivers for what would have been big gains instead of an INT or a punt.

That being said, I think Bama deserves to be number one and LSU ALMOST played like the number one team they think they should be. Congrats, and look out for us in Tuscaloosa!

From what I saw yesterday, LSU is one player - a good experienced qb - from being a top 5 team. Lee definitely hurt you. His arm isn't bad. It's his experience, judgement and inability to read coverages and find the open receiver. A lot of coaching in the offseason may fix most of that, but Les will surely be looking to recruit a stud qb also.

I said that we "limited" your rushing attack (as opposed to shut it down) because while you did roll up some yards on the ground, we held Scott to under 100 yds and the rushing attack never took over the game. You guys did better on the ground than I expected. What surprised me the most was your ability to run it between the tackles. I didn't think you'd be able to do that at all. 201 yards rushing against the #2 rushing defense in the country is a big deal. Your O line impressed me a lot.

All in all, LSU was a lot better than we expected other than the qb play. You came to play and gave us all we wanted and some. It was a heck of an exciting game that could've gone either way.

Take off the bama glasses for a minute there you country bumpkin.

LSU ran on your defense at will and for the life of me i cant understand why our coaches refuse to win games on the ground.

If you want to call that a dominating performance by a number one team i will call you an idiot that doesnt know a thing about football.

Every turnover i saw was unforced by our young qb. Yes their was pressure but bad decisions by our qb lost that game not the play of Alabama.

Once again take off the glasses and watch your coaches response to the game.

    LSU outplayed you and lost.

Alabama didnt win that game. LSU lost it.

This is whats mind boggling. Our pass/run play selection in the second half was split 50-50. I think we should have been running more than passing in the second half.

However, when we did run in the 2nd half they stuffed us. We had less than 50 after halftime.

Yes because we got away from what was working.

Not one option in the second half. Murphy in the wildcat which was predictable.

    Scott on the bench.

I think for the most part KW ran well but he thinks he has speed to the outside which he doesnt have. If he had run north south on a few of his plays then he would have gotten the first down instead of being satopped short and punting.

Scott doesnt do that as much and runs north south which is where most of our yards came.

Gary Crowton is a fine OC and great coach but he tries to get fancy sometimes instead of playing good hard nosed football.

Thanks for the kind post. I agree with most of what you said. I think you guys will have your hands full with UF; probably more than just your hands full, actually.

Bama beat Ga away and LSU away. It is time to throw the " Bama is not so good" away.

Are they worthy of number one now? Yes. Are they worthy to keep it? We will all see in the SECCG. They will be the underdog, and will have a tough battle on their hands. My guess is FL in a close game.

Dude, we had 200 yards rushing on your 'great D. Your team had 136. Scott splitting time with other backs is the only reason he didn't gain over 100. He had 92. Our QB was 13-34 for 181 1 TD and 4 INTs. 3 of those picks lead to 20 of your 27 points. On the pick 6, the receiver was wide open, but the ball was over thrown. There was really no pressure on him, so to speak. That's an unforced error. He threw into double coverage on the pick in OT with no pressure. He should've thrown the ball away. Again, an unforced error. You guys got the win. Congrats. But if we have any other starting QB in the nation other than the one we have now, we win this game.

I'll give you that. But, I will temper it by saying the SEC is down this year. I hate to say it because it sounds like sour grapes, but Alabama is not as good as you guys think they are. You will probably win out, but lose to FU in the SECCG, but you will still more than likely get a BCS bowl bid (Sugar) if FU plays in the BCSCG.

I'm inclined to agree with you about the SECCG. Right now, I'm not sure that Florida isn't the best team in the country. I think we can play with them, and if we play a good game and get a break or two, we can beat them, but unless I see something different in the next few weeks, Florida would have to be the favorite.
