"... the plight of the early opt quarterbacks, even first round draft picks, is less than 50-50 of them being successful."

Not a lot of encouragement coming from ole Pete. :hihi:

Yeah, as I said he went "on and on" degrading Sanchez' decision on coming out early.

And I hadn't even seen that video.

    Good grief.

And he really did have his palms flat on the table while standing up. Wonder what a body language expert would say about that?

Excellent comparison. This was by far the best game in Sanchez' very brief career. I am sure NFL teams will soon forget what was an otherwise "ok" college career up to that point.

Russell's physical skill set however is beyond that of Sanchez'.

I saw the same clip as posted above on ESPN.

Is it okay for PC to feel that way? Is PC accurate in some of his assessments that some kids that leave early have a tough time in the NFL? Is it okay for PC to be pissed that money groveling agents get in these kids heads and persuade them to make rash decisions? You're damn right it is....however.....is it okay to make these statements in a public/national forum in reference to one player's decision and calling this player by name in reference....in my opinion....hell no. That was not the class thing to do and there is not a thing anybody can tell me to change my opinion.

What if Sanchez did as PC wanted and returned, and then got hurt...bad? Look at what happened to Cornelius Ingram for us this past year. He wavered about entering the 08 draft and had good feedback from the pro scouts about his prospects. He decided to come back for his last year only to blow out his knee in spring drills. As a fan you want these kids to return to help the team and help themselves as well. But on the other side of the fence, you can understand the lure to jump when the are eligible to do so.

And even though I do not personally like PC for all the whining and complaining that he does, I do think he is a great coach, a great recruiter, and I do think he cares about the wellbeing of his kids, but in this case he was very wrong in his actions.

Petey is all about Petey and it shines through here.

I don't like him, I don't want to like him and I don't need a condom apologist coming here trying to sugarcoat his selfish attitude. :angryfire

I like vball, she usually has substance to her posts but you cant polish this turd. Since last night I have watched numerous clips and extended views from the presser and its impossible to spin PC's actions. He was classless and pissed all over Sanchez's parade. :dis:

I really thought that was classless and selfish of him as well if I was a recruit that would make me definitely think twice about going to USC.

NO slack! The only time she's here is to glorify the condoms. If she admits to one NC in the BCS era, I'll cut her a little.
