how does this dude stand there at mark sanchez's press conference and preach to him thru the media that he was making a mistake

jeez, pete carroll pouting and basically throwing a controlled tantrum because his golden boy opted for the draft.

the same guy who waited for pete carroll to return from vacation so he could be present for his announcement.

    what a selfish sob.

Yeah I saw the interview on ESPN and found it crazy odd that he just went on and on about him making a poor decision. I was waiting on him to end it with "but I support him in this decision". That never came, sadly.

I apologize to Mr. Sanchez for calling him a wussy last night when I heard he was waiting to talk to Petey before making a decision. It was more like Petey begging and pleading for him to wait so that he could hopefully convince Mr. Sanchez to save his 2009 season and a shot at a national title.

Sure sends a great message to Corp and Barkley, don't it?

Has Petey ever been accused of being "classy"?

Quoting anything from Scott Wolf is the same as quoting Gillbeau or worse. At this moment, Wolf should be sharing a fruity cocktail with Perez Hilton.

It was nowhere near a tantrum. It was an honest assessment of the situation and the first time PC has ever said anything close to that despite the numerous players who have left early.

Sadly, I think you made that up. Here is exactly what PC said at the presser.

Try reading up on everything he's done for Ryan Davidson.

I didn't see that part of the presser.

The part I saw made it out like he just complained the entire time.

With all due respect, those comments came throughout the presser, not just at the end. How is it that you could say he went "on and on" but didn't see "that part" of the presser? Might it not have been more fair to say that you didn't see all of it rather than proclaim those words NEVER CAME?

I saw Pete Carroll's 60 Minutes interview a few weeks ago and couldn't help liking the guy. I would be surprised if he was acting that badly at the press conference.

cmon vball, you're better than that. and more objective, usually.

even the national pundits with USC kneepads are admitting his tone was that of a spoiled punk.

PC was pissed because he knows who the backups are heading into next season. Im sure matt leinart gave the kid a little different advice.

Sanchez is going to be a first round selection and petey advising him to come back while scolding him at his own presser is irresponsible and pathetic.

colt mccoy, sam bradford and tim tebow will be in next years draft.

it was clearly the right decision.

    be surprised.

Honestly I don't know which part they were showing.

I just remember seeing Pete on TV, it might have been on the College Football Live program if I am not mistaken and they showed Sanchez emotional during his announcement and next thing I see is Pete stating the reasons why he thinks it was a mistake that Sanchez is leaving early. Maybe that's the only part they decided to show at that point in the segment. I have no clue.

I certainly didn't see the entire presser. I didn't know what the arrangement was for the presser, if Pete was speaking or not, or this was an interview with Pete separately from the official announcement from Sanchez.
