These stats came from espn 09 stats page so take it for what it's worth. The only thing thats concerning is they scored more points in less games and that defense looks pretty stout. Also they got Bama and Auburn listed at the top in offense and we are yet to play them. Don't get depressed and bash me for ruining your week this was only for fun. If our guys don't shoot them selves in the foot I expect a classic game.:geaux:
i'm hoping for some magic saturday night but more and more i get the feel that beating UGA was like beating AU last year. c'mon good karma!!
I believe this would qualify as "lies, damn lies, and statistics." Tenessee has the #42 offense in the country?! Seriously? Throw out all stats against non BCS conference teams and then come back with real numbers.
I wouldn't put stock in those numbes. Lsu is 14th in pass D. 40 vs rush and like very high for pics too all vs better teams than uf has played.
This is why we settle this on the feild... and thankfully that feild this time is TIGER STADIUM !!!!! nuff said, imo
Honestly while LSU has played a harder schedule so far I don't think its as much better as some of you think- Charleston Southern is the only really mediocre team Florida's played- Troy, UT and UK are analogous to- UW, ULL, Vandy and MSU- the only probably .500+ team either teams played is UGA (though I could be wrong here the UT/UGA game will show a lot).
I told you to take it for what its worth. I only did the research because I was curious as to how their oppenents stacked up to ours. I always thought when the schedules came out we had it much tougher than UF & Bama, with all the non bcs as you call it. It looks to me by record and opponents of who were played our schedules are not that different at this point in time. Those SEC schools should have stepped up and played, but guess what, on the field they didn't show up. I have no doubt we can play with and beat UF, but so far they have done much better than us on the field and we can't use the excuse that their schedule was easier. We played just as petiful of teams as they have and we did not take care of business. I think we are young and inexperienced and that is part of the problem, but we do have enough talent to win a lot easier than we have been.:geaux: BTW; These rankings were Total offense and Total defense. I know we are better than that in some areas but overall thats how we stack up.
