Always proud of this one, my question is why do you think La. fares so well? Surrounding states seem to love the high school game as much as us, but never put the talent out. Tenn. outside of Memphis nada.
We have thirteen or fourteen football-playing colleges in Louisiana. Far more than most states our size which have five or six and a bunch of non-football junior colleges. More kids get opportunities to play college football. This is also the reason that LSU is underfunded as compared to flagship universities in other states. $ Billions go to keep all these small colleges masquerading as universities.
It is factored in the sense Red is talking about. Have to go to college to get recognized by NFL scouts and LA has a ton of them to catch a larger fraction of high school athletes.
