    I'd love to see Mississippi secede from the union. That'd be hilarious. 2nd biggest welfare state. They'd be a fucking 3rd world country in a month.

    It might have worked fine if the north had allowed it. Seems quite possible the confederacy would have been and ok place.

    This isn't that crazy, it is happening everywhere, Catalonia, Scotland, Montreal, everywhere. To be frustrated with the Feds is a perfectly reasonable thing.

    yes it is stupid and steeped in hypocrisy. Who wanted to secede when Bush was running up deficits and pushed through Medicare part B, which is actually socialized medicine?

    Nah, this is nothing more than a childish attempt to "take your ball & go home". There will always be a large contingent of people who are "frustrated with the feds", but most of them learn to deal with it like adults.
