See this is where you have to pay attention to what he says. If he were talking about streamlining different parts of the beuracracy I would be okay with that. The begining of his statement was "The executive branch" and he was 100% talking about taking power from other branches and "consolidating" it into the office of the POTUS. A 100% TERRIBLE idea. Look, I realize that there is a particular commentator on Fox News who is trying to paint this as the President's power grab. There are plenty of areas where the President is worthy of criticism, but this isn't one of them. You can also go to Factcheck.org and do a search on this subject and you will find further support for what I am saying.
I don't need to look it up, I live it. I'm around teachers on a daily basis- am even married to one. I'm a member of a District Assistance Team that assesses schools. I've done three in the last month. They include interviews, observations and contextual observations. I NEVER hear that complaint. Why? I have more years in the system than she does.
