my God man you sound like a girl that's never played competitive sports. talent is great....and subjective. talent is like inspiration. it's 99% perspiration. has clm's team sweated enough in relation to alabama? has les??? we have more than enough talent to play with anyone year in year out. to say otherwise is foolish and silly. it ain't the talent level...hell, we got nfl coaches and all... when les says he's coming out this year let's hope he ain't wearing high heels
thanks for the analysis tap. i did play a little ball back in the day and from where i sat talent was only as hard as it worked. was that way in the army too, and lo and behold at the world's largest online retailer it's that way too. see, you don't seem to understand that kind of stuff. i'll take 11 darrel williams all day long and be a competitive unit because they give a fuck about the outcome. it's that way in the real world too tap.... i don't think our team really gave a fuck about the outcome at r-kansas, did you??? ole miss??? who's in charge of the team giving a damn?? lsu hasn't been out talented in a long time...les & staff do a fantastic job of getting them to baton rouge but he's a lot like you with his offense. stupidly stubborn
Well, when I said "D-line," I included Key, regardless of how you classify him. So when we do include him, there's significant talent. To say that the line is merely not terrible doesn't quite describe how good they are in my opinion.
Neither was Ole Miss really. They beat us through the air. The difference in the A&M game was that the players actually tried (and that A&M didn't have the best game as well).
I think this requires a much more specific approach. Alabama has way more talent on the line than us and just about every other team in the country. I'd still take our RBs, DBs, and WRs over theirs. I'd give them the edge in probably all other categories.
And therin lies the problem Hoss. "All other categories" includes both lines. The most important part of the game other than QB that you MUST win in order to finish 1st.
we are outtalented at key positions. dline, lb and playcalling-hc. this is transparent vs physical teams and in big game moments. all the want in the world cant fix that or win you a nc on its own. you'd have to be really lucky. as in les miles 2 loss nc lucky. however, when you return just about everyone theres no excuse for not plugging those holes. this will be all on les despite taints attempts to distract you with slight of hat.
It's not how I classify him, he will be playing OLB. There is talent in the front 7 for sure, but there are still serious question marks.
