I think that just about sums it up. I'd have never, ever even SUSPECTED that this game would be so lopsided.

I really wouldn't want to be the gamecocks next week. A wounded tiger is a dangerous Tiger!

just a critical point I guess but if we have the speed why are we always getting beat deep & on the edges. Coaching?? if so then we have a real problem... no sacks.. god I loved watching sacks whats up with that??

Make no doubt, this is the scariest offense in the country.

OU, Texas, Missou score tons of points cuz they don't play defense in the Big12.

    This is different.

Florida is gonna put up between 41 and 48 points against Georgia.

And UGA won't put up enough points to compensate.

I didn't see the blow out coming, but the poor defense, definitely. AU is HORRIBLE and we let a lot of big plays through the air drag that game to the wire, not to mention barely getting any pressure on the QB at all. Miss. State was the same way. That game was far closer than it should have been. Tonight, just about every play was a big play.

Initially, I thought the run D was solid, but again, it looked suspect as well tonight. I thought it would be a shootout, maybe 35-28 (I didn't post it on the board, but said it at work) for either LSU or UF, but hell, our O was embarrassing against a mediocre UF D and our D was flat out embarrassed.

Don't think we'll just blow out USC next week and our D will be fixed. Spurrier is cooking up something...

It's always tough to watch us struggle on D since this is we've been so dominant since '03, but keep in mind how young our secondary is, especially at corner. The more experience P. Jones, Hawkins and Peterson get, the better they're going to be and I predict we'll have the best secondary in football before they graduate. D-line has been a disappointment so far as has our ability to pressure the QB, but still alot of ball to be played. I'm still not crazy about the dual DC situation, but have to trust that Miles knows this is the best option for the team. However, if we continue to struggle, I predict he'll hire a proven DC next year. Saying that does not mean I've given up on this year.

This was a bad game. Don't forget, this same Florida team had a bad game against Ole Miss. USCw had one against Oregon St. If I can find a positive in all the gloom. Maybe, it's a wake-up call. Florida sure seems to have taken their loss as one. Hopefully, USC catches us with serious fire in our bellies and chips on our shoulders.:thumb:

Someone gets it. THAT is why we lost. We had zero ball control

My thinking going into this game was that if we could play close in the first half, (which we did not), the OL would wear on them, and we would run them into the ground in the second half.

Instead, we did NOT play close in the 1st half, and we NEVER had control of the LOS on offense...or defense for that matter.
