LSU star average is the third highest in the nation, behind only Florida and USC (whose avg is an obscene 4.11). We are at 3.63 and Florida is at 3.89. Texas is right behind with 3.6.

Commitments from Deas and Chris Mitchell will help, and if we can somehow get R. Jones (I doubt it) we'll come close to catching Fla.

Star ratings aren't everything. We all know that lots of good/great players were only 2 and 3 star recruits. But, it's fun to do well, and often times stars are good indicators.

As long as we continue to fill this team with good athletes we can be competetive, but it takes more than being a great athlete. That's what Saban did a good job of. Great athletes, but also guys with great character. Let's home LM keeps this going.:geauxtige

Up to #4. If Texas doesn't get Mouton and we land Mitchell (and not to mention Deas) then we are looking at #3.
