I feel as if the food is getting worse and worse each year. Can we get a Cane's in there or something.. Geeeze.
Nachos were pretty good for us. However, they are getting a little stingy with the cheese. I know that stuff has to be terrible for us, but give us enough for more than ten nachos please! Sausage poboy is still good as usual, probably one of the better buys as far as amount of food vs money spent. I bet taht Chik-fil-A is cooked hours ahead of time and then kept warm. Not surprised that it was bad. I did look for one of their stands in upper south tho. I like me some Chik-fil-A!
I thought everybody loved Cane's. That's what we ate Saturday night after our first choice was closed. To each his own... I used to think Cane's would be perfect for LSU games, but then I thought about how the chicken is always fried right when you order it and never before. That would likely be a disaster. Cane's takes a while to get your food out even if you're the only person there. But it's always hot and always the same quality (and I've never had a messed up order there either).
As expected there was no room for new stands in the north end zone. I saw a Chickfila outside the stadium. The jambalaya stand was kicking their ass.
Jambalaya is the perfect stadium food. Can be cooked ahead of time and only gets better as it sits. Plus it's a traditional Louisiana dish. Cane's and Chick-fil-A are just the opposite. They are great right out of the fryer but deteriorate rather quickly. Sushi is just stupid.
Canes is great until you're done eating it. Then you wish you never ate it, yet somehow a couple days later you're left craving it again...it's an interesting cycle that I've been a part of many a times.
Who the hell goes to the game to eat? I never understood the people who would go to a game & end up missing nearly 20-30 minutes of it to stand in line repeatedly to get nachos, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. You eat at the tailgate. You fill up all day. You get to the stadium & get a coke. Maybe you also pick up a bag of peanuts. Besides the fact that buying a 4 course meal at the stadium will probably set you back $40 for what really amounts to $5 worth of food. But keep on buying it. You are Skip's wet dream.
Many reasons... The main ones for me are because there are rarely any lines in my section, kids are hungry and it keeps them busy so I can watch the game, and sometimes I forget the eating part during tailgating.
