This is from an article yesterday: Herman Johnson credits former offensive line coach Stacy Searels, who left LSU after the 2006 season, and Greg Studrawa, who replaced Searels in 2007. “I think Stud’s really got him to do some things better,” Miles said. “Stacy did a great job with him initially, and I think Stud’s really kind of groomed him and guided him very, very well. He improved really from the start.” http://www.thenewsstar.com/article/20081221/UPDATES02/81221004
I thought he did well except his last couple of years. We either seemed to be able to pass block real well or run block but never at the same time (meaning same game/year) when he was under Miles. To be honest, I don't know if that was a Miles thing because his specialty is the O-line and they might have had a difference of opinion or if he just wasn't cutting it those years. But either way I always thought very highly of him and thought we lost a real good one when he took the UGA position. I also heard we lost a heck of recruiter when he left.
