Purchasing the Hornets ought to make it clear that Benson is not moving the team. NFL rules state that one cannot own another sports team in a different city than one's NFL team, so he would have to move both franchises or neither.

What a scumbag John Barr is. Out of the blue, he just starts cold calling people with Saints ties just to see if any of them have any dirt they want to air out? That is just pathetic. If those are the tactics he has to use to develop sources, he should be mortified. What a hack.

And then we find out this Landry guy was fired, so if he's the source, then he's got a built in reason to lie. No credibility whatsoever for either of them. I hope Loomis and the Saints sue ESPN for slander and defamation of character.

Hargrove is now saying Williams and Vitt made him sign something keeping quiet about the bounty scandal.

I agree fanatic, if I am in the Saints front office, or on their legal team, I am looking for any and every possible law suit I can file. This has been nothing but a huge smear campaign, and the sad part is every article you read now involving the Saints, the public comments at the bottom are very troubling. I see no one coming to the defense of the Saints. Mainly just a bunch of haters trying to say that the Saints need their title stripped, and they are cheaters and blah blah blah. The media is behind Goodell 100% and ESPN is licking his ass like a Laotian hooker.

The public's view of the Saints will be tainted now for a long time, and I think it's bullshit.

All this has been in my opinion, is a way for Roger Goodell to look like he is tough on safety for the pending lawsuits filed by former players. This is a way for this ass clown to point at his record towards player safety, and his huge ego. I really hope this dude gets raped by an aids infested crack addicted pit bull.

Right... The damage is already done. Notice we haven't heard jack about this story since it broke, so chances are, they will not be able to substantiate the claims. But Loomis' and the Saints reputation have suffered needlessly, even more since this was right on the heels of the bounties. Just piss poor and reckless reporting, especially considering what this hack had to do to get the story (cold calling all past and present Saints employees or anyone affiliated with the team looking for dirt to report)

The public's (outside of the Saints' region) view has always been low. Fark 'em.

Looking on the bright side, at least now we can ditch all of those annoying band wagon jumpers who can never tell you who Joe Federspiel was.

Outside of the SEC, pro football rules.

And their fans are a lot like SEC fans who pin their self worth as human beings primarily on whether their own team win or not.

Unlike SEC fans, however, that's all they have to go on. so they're haters only. There is no other perspective. In the SEC, as much as we hate other teams (Bama, piggies, gators, etc.) we are united culturally. That's why we root for the SEC teams we hate in the bowl games. You never ever see that outside of the south.

That's why you have to pass through metal detectors for NFL games but never for an SEC game. That's why they just hate. hence the comments.

Further evidence, that not only will the South rise again....it already has !!

Joe Federspiel, middle linebacker, 4th round pick out of Kentucky in either '72 or '73. The best linebacker in pre-Dome Patrol Saints history. Nice reference, Herb.
