Well, the hits just keep coming... I don't know or care if it's true at this point, especially considering their record during the period this is "alleged" to have happened. If they were doing this, it sure would bring new meaning to "going around your ass to get to your elbow". I mean, they would have had to time it perfectly. I have a bad feeling about this season. Hopefully, LSU will have a great season by contrast.

Rick Venturi (Def. Coor. during the 'alleged' seasons) on Mike and Mike this morning, said in no uncertain terms that he never heard a thing about such equipment in the time he was there. Bobby Hebert was on as well; both made the point that listening to coaches call plays during the game is like listening to a foreign language. Now Greenberg made a valid point; Loomis may not have understood any of the terminology. But during timeouts, when coaches might be saying to each other,"let's go no-huddle" or "their starting middle linebacker just went out, target the backup", he'd certainly understand that. But 2 arguments come to mind for me. 1. Still haven't heard anything about technologoy employed to allow Loomis to talk to the Saints coaches. Without that, anything he hear is useless. 2. Stuff like that is pretty basic; does an NFL coach even need someone to tell him those things? Thinking of the NFL Films coverage of Super Bowl 44. Greer left the game with a ding in the 2nd quarter, and NFL F had Payton telling his guys "get Usama Young some help, you know they're going to go after him." Sure enough, first play, Manning goes at Young, complete to Pierre Garcon, touchdown.

Benson doesn't give a shit. He would move that organization from New Orleans in a heartbeat if he could. Maybe Benson is the snitch.

The FBI is getting involved? Really? Don't they have better things to do besides investigate a professional football team, like keep an eye on that whole terrorist thing. Besides, I want the teams I root for to do everything they can to gain a competitive edge, wiretapping, videotaping, bounties, you name it, what ever it takes! Do they really think we are all that naive and make it seem like some crazy sickophantic outrage. There is a reason every coach covers his mouth with a clipboard and every team has 10 guys giving fake signals......everyone is out to rob, cheat, steal and stomp your guts out any way they can, it's the cold war a hostile environment, you don't waltz into Russia and expect privacy, hell no they are spying on you!!!!

Bottom line is they can't take away anything the Saints accomplished.....free Sean Payton!

"The most important issue facing the New Orleans Saints right now is getting Drew Brees under contract."

I disagree. There's no doubt that he had that mindset pre-Katrina and pre-Payton/Brees, but since Sean Payton took over as head coach, the value of the Saints has nearly tripled; going from around $320m to just under $1B. These allegations are negatively impacting the Saints reputation and ultimately the value of the team, so he most certainly cares. Plus, I don't think he wants to move them anymore.
