Spurrier Has a Job Offer in Baton Rouge http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsport...ffer-on-the-table/?ocid=Yahoo&partner=ya5nbcs
Not sure if this has been mentioned but I think it reflects very poorly on Spurrier to be leaving so soon after the historic flooding that his community endured. The head football coach at South Carolina could have done a lot to help those affected, even if just in a leadership position in working with others more directly involved with recovery efforts.
Who's to say he isn't. He is well known whether he is still the HBC or not. He probably donated some money to the cause and maybe will do some radio and TV ads to help raise money
Doing the minimum like when he's played golf during the season? Most of his players consider him a father figure. Is he still going to be communicating with them on a daily basis to help them through these difficult times?
I don't know if on a daily basis. Got to let the new coach run the program as he sees fit but the players probably all have his phone number. I'm sure he will talk to them if they call with a problem
