This is assuming he was active on the recruiting trail: he hasn't been. He's actually had assistants have to ask him to call recruits. Most people are missing the upswing talent (within the state borders) took in the last few years (Clowney, Lattimore, Gilmore, et al) and now the state returning to its normal state: not a lot there. There's a lot about his career that's not described in context. As example, you rarely see (if you see at all) the change in rules on hash marks credited to his passing offense in the early '90's.
