TE's catching passes. Dual threat Qb's that can spread the field and tuck and run. OL line that's like a brick wall, and 3 guys in the back field that can pound the rock. A defense that can pick em off passes and turn opposing RBs upside down and use them like a jack hammer. Gonna be a good season tator.
I know I left it, now its time to pick this one up, while at the Spring game at Rice, Hairston was talking with the staff that day, before the Spring game, about the transfer. LSU kicker transfers to Rice Posted by John Taylor on July 21, 2014, 11:41 PM EDT In a press release Monday, Rice announced that James Hairston has transferred into the Owls football program. Hairston had spent the past three seasons at LSU as the Tigers’ kickoff specialist. A desire to kick field goals and extra points led Hairston to Rice, where his grandfather (1953-55) and an uncle (1993-95) were three-year letter winners on the football team. Because Hairston received a degree from LSU this past May, he will be eligible to play for Rice immediately in 2014. Barring a serious injury that leads to a medical waiver, this upcoming season will serve as Hairston’s last year of collegiate eligibility. Congrats to James, best of luck.
Hate to see him go! But, it opens the door for another player who has been paying his dues in practice. Best of luck to Hairston!
Maybe my sarcasm didn't come through in this post... I was making light of those who think that our very successful coach would "run off" his best players for lesser players on the roster...
