He's clearly our #1 wide-out, until Randle bumps him. As I said with Randle, I think the QB situation has held back our receivers.

this year, yes. Last year, he was No. 2. That's what I meant. I know he's No. 1 this year.

I know that you know that I know....

I was talking about this year only, not correcting your statement. Was confirming that you're right - he had a reasonable year, and is clearly #1 going into this year.

That said - I'm still waiting for him to live up to his recruiting hype - which for some guys never happens, for many reasons.

Bandit, good recap of the spring game.

I feel just like you on the QB's, but I looked at the game recently and JJ had a few good passes dropped that would have picked up his stats if they had been caught(and they should have been, at least 2 maybe 3). I was more positive on Lee than you, I thought he did well overall. Lee seems to have a much better feel for the long pass than JJ, which I can't see that JJ has any feel for the long ball at all.

I like Randle more than you do at WR. I have a very good feeling about him this season. I like all of our receivers and think they will be a good unit.

The o-line looked better in run blocking, but I think our RT got eaten by Mingo in passing downs.

I agree Mingo is too light to be an every down guy, but man, he's quick off the snap, actually as fast as I've ever seen.

The d-line, we need youth to come in and step up right away. Nevis needs to be the sr. leader of the line.

I think to even grade the DL on the SG performance is unfair. They didn't all participate. In fact, I'm MUCH more concerned about the OL and running game. Considering the lack of participation from guys that will be starters on the DL, we have no clue how good that OL is.

I find no reason to doubt anything about Randle, but I'm not going off the spring game. Randle proved in limited action last season that he can catch anything, anywhere.

QB---what Clair said. Plus the fact that these guys have been working all summer since the spring game, gaining knowledge and experience that will do nothing but improve them. JJ was a good QB last year no matter what anybody tries to say, and as a true sophomore. He will be a better QB this year. Again, with QB...my concern is the OL. Not saying it's gonna be bad, but we have no idea one way or the other, and certainly not based on the SG.
