And this is what I'm trying to say. We're not the top of the top, historically, and we don't enjoy the same benefits that those historical teams do.
I'm not discounting your reasoning for having a great time. It makes a lot of sense to me. One thing I've seen from fans of a lot of different schools over the years are families with the mom, dad, and the 2.5 kids that can't afford five tickets at 65 bucks per...and the spring game is the only chance they have to enjoy seeing the football team in a live event. I know of several, personally, that love to take their kids to these games because having to deal with a few smaller children during a fall football game can be more than a handful. Spring football games are turning more and more into a "family event" versus what I'd call a "football fan event," if that makes sense?
Of course, you HAVE to save a few for the ritual sacrafices Satan demands according to the deal Saban made with him.
No doubt. I moved out of Louisiana as a young lad fresh out of high school in '87 and have rarely missed an LSU game (on TV). Hell even through all my tours in Iraq I got to see every game, even the non-confrence games. There are people here in Oklahoma that bitch because the pokes and sooners aren't always on the tube yet you can ALWAYS find the Tigers.
